Why watch this?
Bond achieves greatness in this third sequel.
Plot Summary:
After a botched mission leaves James Bond presumed dead, a
devastating cyber-attack against MI6 forces him to return to
service to confront a mysterious enemy targeting M. Bond tracks
the threat to Raoul Silva, a rogue former agent seeking personal
revenge against M for abandoning him in the past. To protect
her, Bond takes M to his ancestral home in Scotland, where they
prepare for a final, desperate stand against Silva's forces.
Dad's Preview:
There is a lot packed into this movie. The Plot Summary
above barely scratches the surface. But that is what also makes
this third film in the Craig series stand so tall. James does
quite a job hopping the globe considering that he's relieved of
duty at the start of the film. But that is vintage James Bond in
a nutshell, "Thanks for firing me, now I have work to do." Q is
finally brought onto the team and he's a delight, portrayed by
Ben Wishaw). Naomie Harris also inhabits a familiar role, but I
won't spoil it. This is one of the best Bond films ever - it's
right up there with
Casino
Royale (2006). It also won the Oscar for Best Song,
"Skyfall", by Adele.
