Plot Summary:
This holiday classic chronicles the journey of Kris Kringle, an
orphaned baby raised by a family of elves. Kris grows up wanting
to deliver toys to the joyless children of Sombertown, but faces
opposition from the strict, toy-hating Burgermeister
Meisterburger. He must also contend with the coldhearted Winter
Warlock who lives between the Kringles and Sombertown.

Dad's Preview:
This is one of my favorite versions of the origin of Santa Claus (narrated
by Fred Astaire and voiced
wonderfully by Mickey Rooney). There are funny characters and
cute animals, but my favorite is the scary Winter Warlock - he's
the
ice king that will startle you at first, but you'll warm up to
him after Santa does the unthinkable... he gives the frozen
wizard a simple toy.
