Plot Summary: A young mother and her five-year-old son, Jack, live in a single, confined space they call "Room." Ma has shielded Jack from the reality of their situation, creating a safe and loving world within the confines of their captivity. As Jack grows older and his curiosity about the outside world increases, Ma knows they must attempt a daring escape to finally experience life beyond their confined existence.

Dad's Preview: Real monsters exist in our world. This story focuses on a young woman, Joy, who was kidnapped and kept in a locked building for 12 years. She endures endless rapes and gives birth. She and her five-year-old her son live in "Room", enduring their captor, "Old Nick". Joy finally pulls off a miraculous escape. Brie Larson and Jason Tremblay are amazing as mother and son, surviving the unthinkable ordeal.
