"This is my town! If you live to see the dawn, it's because I allow it! I'm in charge of everything! I decide who lives or who dies! Your gunfighter's dead." – John Harod

Why watch this? Sharon Stone portrays a gun-slinging cowgirl - now that takes some acting talent!

Plot Summary: In the lawless Old West town of Redemption, ruled by the ruthless John Herod, a mysterious female gunslinger arrives seeking revenge. She enters a deadly, single-elimination fast-draw tournament orchestrated by Herod, alongside a diverse cast of gunslingers with their own reasons for participating, including a preacher who has renounced violence and a young aspiring gunfighter seeking validation from Herod.

Dad's Preview: Sharon Stone portrays a gunslinger in the old West. What?! Yet, somehow, she pulls it off. There is a quick-draw contest in the remote town of Redemption. The dusty hamlet is lorded over by the ruthless John Herod, played by Gene Hackman. Aiding the film's success are some wonderful performances by two new stars: Leonard DiCaprio, as Herod's rebellious son, and Russell Crowe as a preacher with a sordid past. It's full of Western clichés, but that's the joyous point of it.
