Why watch this?
It's a great spin on angels, and the miracles we all need.
Plot Summary:
Two tabloid reporters investigate a story about an alleged angel
living in rural Iowa with an older woman. To their surprise,
they discover Michael, a real Archangel, who agrees to accompany
them to Chicago. During the journey, Michael, despite his
unconventional habits, touches their lives and teaches them
about love, faith, and appreciating the present moment.
Dad's Preview:
A news crew, starved for a story, travels to see a supposed "angel" named Michael. They're
99% sure it is a hoax. However, they are astonished to find a
grown male angel, living with his
mother, white wings and all. His mother dies and Michael decides
he wants to travel with the
news crew, see the world, and perhaps perform a few miracles along the way. Travolta's
sweetness really shines through. I particularly love Michael's battle
with the bull. This film is creative, tender, and will give most
folks a little more to think about life and how we are living
it.
