"Nothing wrong with
shooting as long as the right people get shot!" - Harry
Callahan
Why watch this?
There's wolves in sheep's clothing and Harry's the hunter.
Plot Summary:
Inspector "Dirty" Harry Callahan investigates a series of
executions targeting major mob figures and criminals who have
slipped through the legal system. As the body count rises, he
realizes the brutal vigilante strikes are actually being carried
out by a rogue faction of assassins within his own police
department. Forced to take matters into his own hands, Harry
must use his unorthodox methods to stop the corrupt officers
before they eliminate anyone who stands in their way.

Dad's Preview:
In Eastwood's second outing as Dirty Harry Callahan,
he's still the same cop and still willing to take on the
dangerous police chores. This "man of action" knows that
problems get worse when you wait. This predictably draws
the ire of his superiors who spend a lot of time dealing
with the aftermath of his tactics. This film features a
nice mystery regarding the identify of those who are
killing San Francisco's worst criminals ala
vigilante-style. Eastwood, as he often did, looks so
comfortable in this role. He's delivering a fine
performance, but you don't think he's acting at all.
Many critics always missed that point regarding him -
I'm not one of them. |
