Why watch this?
This is Gibson's last turn as Max. He does not disappoint.
Plot Summary:
Following an encounter with airborne bandits, Max is drawn to
Bartertown, a precarious settlement presided over by the
formidable Aunty Entity. Here, he becomes entangled in a power
struggle and is forced to confront opponents in the notorious
Thunderdome. Max is eventually banished from the town and
discovers a community of children living in isolation who
believe him to be their mythical savior.
Dad's Preview:
Our favorite post-apocalypse wanderer comes to Bartertown. After assessing
Max's
considerable skills, she barters his freedom if he kills the
man, Master, who controls all the city's methane gas. To do this,
Max must face
the man's mighty protector, Blaster, inside Thunderdome ("Two
men enter, One man leave" - chant it with me!).
This film is crammed full of explosive action. However, it is
R&B singer Tina
Turner, prancing around like a tigress, who shows some serious acting chops.
