Plot Summary:
Elle Woods, a fashionable sorority president, is dumped by her
boyfriend, Warner, who is headed to Harvard Law School and
believes she isn't serious enough for his future political
aspirations. Determined to win him back, Elle studies hard, gets
a high score on her LSATs, and is accepted into Harvard Law
herself, hoping to prove her intelligence and seriousness to
Warner.
Dad's Preview:
With this film, Ms. Witherspoon gained real "cred" with
audiences. It's 100% her film - she carries it, like totally.
The very sorority and fashion-minded Elle is dumped by her
Harvard-bound boyfriend because, well, she's not Harvardy-enough.
This fuels her determination to get into that Ivy school and win him
back. It's wonderful Rom-Com fare, and Elle's energetic tactics
are a thing of beauty. Like... duh!
