"Tell them that my
love is real. That if they open their hearts to it, I will fill
that emptiness and that they will be able to love one another.
That's the message. Hasn't changed. Tell them." – Joshua
Why watch this?
It's a simple story about a man who might be more than we
expect.
Plot Summary:
A mysterious, compassionate stranger named Joshua arrives in the
small town of Auburn, setting up a woodcarving shop and quickly
endearing himself to the local residents. He begins to
positively impact people's lives through random acts of kindness
and by leading a community project to rebuild a destroyed
church. His quiet influence and seemingly miraculous acts
attract attention, sparking suspicion.
Dad's Preview:
Whether you are a Christian or not, this "what if" scenario film
about Jesus' return, as a kind man named Joshua, is low-key and
interesting. The stranger in town is a carpenter who finds
plenty of time to help those in need. Eventually, a man like
this is going to attract attention, and he does. I must say that
I enjoyed Tony Goldwyn as Joshua. He has the kind face I'd
expect. Polular Christian rock band
Third Day even makes a brief appearance. If nothing else, it
should serve as a reminder to folks that the message of
Christianity, as taught by Jesus himself, is love, love, love...
even The Beatles agreed with that.
