"Gojira may be the answer.
I believe he's here to restore balance. He can defeat them." –

Why watch this? This
recent American version of the big guy is wonderfully bad-ass!
Plot Summary:
An investigation into mysterious seismic activity reveals the
awakening of massive, parasitic creatures called MUTOs. These
creatures feed on radiation and pose a significant threat to
humanity as they seek to reproduce. Humanity's only hope may lie
with the ancient alpha predator, Godzilla, who awakens to
restore the balance of nature by battling the MUTOs.
Dad's Preview:
This film by Gareth Edwards more than erased our bitter memories of
Ronald Emmerich's
1998 mess,
Godzilla. When earth comes under attack by two
creatures, called MUTO's, Godzilla rises from the sea and kicks
some serious creature butt. There is nothing cute about this
rendition of our favorite fire-breathing, 400-foot-tall dragon.
The CGI effects are outstanding. The plot is reasonably watchable. Bring on the appetite for destruction
- Monster-style!
