Dad's Preview:
As is director Robert Rodriguez's calling card, this
film is high on octane, bloody violence and
choreographed gun play. Our murdering hero slices
through Mexicans in a small town like they are wheat
before a scythe. He stops only long enough to court and
bed the town's buxom librarian. Banderas, with his long
ebony locks, is gorgeous enough alone, but team him up
with sultry Salma Hayek, and its cinematic sexual
dynamite. These two are the definition of beauty. Throw
in a few actor cameos, and we got a film! True, the
story is thin, but plot not really the point, is it?
Blast away, Mariachi! |
