Plot Summary:
A group of scientists investigates a mysterious "sea monster"
that's been attacking ships. They discover that the "monster" is
actually the Nautilus, a futuristic submarine piloted by
the enigmatic Captain Nemo. After being captured, they journey
across the seas with Nemo, experiencing the wonders and dangers
of the underwater world.

James Mason plays the mysterious Captain Nemo and a young Kirk
Douglas provides the meat of the acting. However, the giant
squid is the real star. Its special effects were
something to behold, and at that time, unequaled.
