"Younger men are like
fast food restaurants. the food is fast, but it's not all that
good. But, with you it's like dining in the most expensive
restaurant in the world. Of course, the service may be a little
slow..." – Daniella Eastman
Why watch this? This
is a very funny, and dark, rom-com.
Plot Summary: Claude
Eastman, a renowned symphony conductor, becomes convinced his
much younger wife Daniella is having an affair due to a series
of comical misunderstandings. Driven by overwhelming jealousy,
Claude concocts a bizarre plan for revenge against his wife and
her perceived lover. His attempts to enact his elaborate scheme
result in chaotic and hilarious situations that do not go as he
expects.

Dad's Preview:
Perhaps this remake is a film only for Dudley Moore fans, but it
does have a wider appeal, thanks to the enticing Nastassja
Kinski. Moore excels playing the jealous husband - this film
takes that to new levels, aka INSANELY jealous. My really got a
kick out of seeing Moore's versions of his revenge plot
against his cheating wife played out, if only in his
mind. The actual plan, thank goodness, goes very
differently. There are some really hilarious moments
(namely the violin duel) that I know you will enjoy. |
