"Will you be my bodyguard?
I'll pay you fifty cents every day. I'll do your homework for
you.
I'm pretty smart." - Clifford Peache
Why watch this? For
a teen film, it is very layered and emotional. I loved it
instantly.
Plot Summary:
Clifford Peache is a sensitive teenager who becomes the target
of a school bully at his new high school. To combat the
harassment, he hires Ricky Linderman, a feared and misunderstood
classmate, to protect him. As their unusual alliance forms, they
forge an unexpected friendship while confronting their
adversaries and personal struggles.

Dad's Preview:
I was really impressed by the performance of young Adam
Baldwin. He is both menacing and completely vulnerable as is kid
who has
suppressed a lot of trauma in his life. Every picked-on kid
wishes they could hire a body guard. This film rings
true to anybody who has been bullied. |
