Dad's Preview:
This is a great reference guide for the male curse known as the "mid-life crisis".
The title correctly implies that the film's central topic is a
perfect, blonde bombshell. Her name is Bo Derek.
However, this romantic dramedy is more about the idea
of her, as fantasized by middle-aged songwriter, George Webber.
He is an
ungrateful man, so
insane about what he wants, that he can't see what he has. This
has several laugh-out-loud moments. It was
Dudley Moore's
breakout film, and he plays an adorable drunk
better than most. The film's ending will probably not go as you
imagined. |
